Family Workshops

Our family activities support young visitors to explore the sculptures in the park through a mix of looking, talking and making. Join our holiday workshops for a stimulating and creative family day out. Our art education team are always excited to share new insights about the sculpture.

Most suitable for families with children aged 5-12, but all ages are welcome!

Please book in advance, as places are limited, so booking is essential.

Please note all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If cost is a barrier to your child/ren taking part, we offer three free places on every workshop, drop us a line on [email protected] to express an interest.

“It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of artistic exploration and creativity.  We will be back!” Family workshop participant

Next workshops: Wednesday 25th October

10.30am-12.00pm & 1.30-3.00pm

Come and explore the newly opened solo exhibition ‘Wherever the Two Shall Meet’ by Jacob van der Beugel at the New Art Centre.

Together we will have a look at the artworks exploring what art can teach us about science. We will then extend our ideas using clay, collage and a range of drawing materials, making own unique creations to take home.

£7 per child, free for first accompanying adult; additional adults £7

Booking essential: Please email your child’s name and age to [email protected] or call 01980862802.

Please also pay via PayPal in advance to secure your place. If you would prefer to pay via bank transfer, please let us know and we can send you the details.

After the workshop, you are welcome to explore the rest of the sculpture park independently.
