We run family activities during school holidays to promote the enjoyment of looking and talking about art together. The sessions offer a supported environment in which to explore the exhibitions at the New Art Centre and to develop an ownership from the community in our cultural heritage.
Our sessions are most suitable for families with children aged 5-12. Places are limited, so booking is essential. Please note all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Thursday 2nd June 10.00-11.30 & 1.30-3.00pm
We will explore work in the sculpture park which links to the Festival’s theme of ‘Islands’ and that which celebrates the rich diversity of the people of Britain. We will make drawings, collage and collective stories before designing our very own creatures and characters from imaginary lands or distant planets or places.
£5 per child, free for first accompanying adult; additional adults £5
