Nicholas Pope draws and makes holes to look and escape through. In his sculpture ‘Iron Holes’ the spontaneity and imperfection of the ‘holes’ and the use of rough cast iron epitomises his interest in the potential of materials to communicate the ups and downs, the complications and the beauties of life.
