Specialist Art History and Visual Culture Tours
2-5pm on Thursdays 6th, 13th, 27th August & 3rd September 2020
£15 per session or £50 for all 4 sessions
A themed series of tours for young people from the age of 16, university students and others with an interest in art history, led by the Trust’s expert Art Historian, Timothy Revell.
We will predominantly discuss Post-War British Art from a historical, socio-political and iconographical perspective, as well as focus on how artworks in the Park create a dialogue with their surrounding environment and the viewer. The session will also include an introduction on art history as a discipline and the power of images in history and contemporary society.
