Family Workshops

We provide workshops for families throughout the year to encourage the enjoyment of looking and talking about art together. The sessions promote a supported environment to explore the exhibitions at the New Art Centre and to develop an ownership from the community in our cultural heritage.

Come and explore the Sculpture Park and discover exciting new artworks inside our gallery!

Create imaginative drawings and learn how to make colourful kaleidoscopes, inspired by the New Art Centre’s exhibition, PSYCHOTROPICS, linking art with the natural world.

Most suitable for children aged 5-12. Places are limited, booking essential.

Children: £5
Adults: Free

Please note all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Although there is no cost for the accompanying adult(s) we are very grateful for donations to the Roche Court Educational Trust.

Tuesday 7th April: Spring to Life! Easter Holiday Family Workshop, 10am-12.30pm, exploring contemporary sculpture, flora and fauna in the Sculpture Park.

Thursday 28th May: May Half Term Family Workshop, 10am-12.30pm, exploring The New Art Centre’s exhibition COMMON THREAD, focusing on textiles.

Thursday 30th July: Summer Holiday Family Workshop, 10am-12.30pm, exploring INHABITED SCULPTURE, The New Art Centre’s Summer exhibition focusing on art and architecture.
