Family Workshops

We provide workshops for families throughout the year to encourage the enjoyment of looking and talking about art together. The sessions promote a supported environment to explore the exhibitions at the New Art Centre and to develop an ownership from the community in our cultural heritage.

Family Workshop: Wild Beasts

Tuesday 13 February 2018

10am – 12.30pm, at the New Art Centre

Families are invited to discover wild beasts within the sculpture park! How and why do artists portray animals in sculpture and what might they symbolise? Families will bring their imagination and be led on an interactive tour of the sculpture park to explore answers to these questions, and many more. We will then use our findings to inspire our own animal-themed artworks.
